The first-ever Barbie commercial aired during The Mickey Mouse Club in 1959, pioneering direct-to-child television advertising for a toy with adult features. The one-minute ad used a catchy jingle and aspirational messaging to present Barbie as a "Teen-age Fashion Model," driving immediate sales and cultural impact. I have loved the Original 1959 Barbie for years and when so saw this @barbie fabric at @spotlightstores I knew I had to overcome my fear of zippers and make a dress. I used the Butterick Pattern B6453 by Gertie and now that I have made two dresses using this pattern I consider myself a pro at it! I have already bought fabric for my next dress 😂😂😂 My Barbie Pj’s came from @kmart and my cardigan is @mak_sweater #barbie #barbiestyle #barbiegirl #barbiecollector #spotlightstores #butterickpattern
