Seen roosting on scrape early this morning were approximately 90 Greylags, 40 Canada Geese, 1 Pink-footed Goose & 100 Mallards along with at least 8 Shoveler Ducks, 65 Teal, 35 Wigeons, 4 Tufted Ducks, 30 Snipe, 2 Water Rails and a few Meadow Pipits flying over around the scrape and pools. From the Aird Meadow trail there were 2 jays, 1 Bullfinch, a Tawny Owl calling, and 2 Roe Deer. 18 Whooper Swans were seen on Castle Semple Loch from the boardwalk but flew south at 07:35. Four years ago this month we were busy creating our new scrape. Fast forward to now and we have had Lapwing, Redshank, Little Ringed Plover and Ringed Plover breed there.
