She became available for adoption and was outside playing at the shelter when someone came up and asked for more information about her…that “someone” was her owner! Winnie was previously named Lisa and had been missing for 6 months. The two were reunited and Lisa went back home that very same day. Our Field Services team jumped into action, gearing up in wetsuits and braving the icy water to bring the dog to safety. He is now receiving care back at our Mackey Center for Animal Care in Detroit.
