Tetanus Protection During Goat Banding Banding can expose goats to tetanus infection, especially if proper vaccination isn’t done. Tetanus toxoid provides long-term protection, but it must be given at least 3 weeks before banding and followed by a booster 21 days later. It doesn’t work immediately.
