Have you ever seen a giraffe blood draw? Sophie had her first blood collection on Thursday. Thanks to Dr. Liza Dadone of Giraffe Veterinary Services for guiding us in the collection process! Sophie exceeded our expectations and we were able to draw 50 ml of blood. This allows us to run the baseline tests to do a check of our overall health. During this she received her favorite snacks- Wasa crackers for participating! She was a rockstar and we hope to have her be a plasma donor in the future. 🦒
