Born blind, Derek Rabelo achieved what most sighted people would never dare. Born in 1992 in Guarapari, Brazil with congenital glaucoma, he had no sight. Inspired by his father's surfing tales and the ocean sounds, Derek pursued his dream. With his father's support and his keen sense of hearing, he trained to master the waves.
