Rainbow Bee-eater | The Wildlife

The Northern carmine bee-eater (Merops nubicus) is a large, vibrantly colored African bird known for its rosy-pink body, iridescent blue-green head, and long tail streamers, with a distinct blue throat that separates it from the Southern carmine bee-eater. These insectivores catch prey mid-air, often gathering in massive colonies to nest in riverbanks, and are famous for their spectacular flocks and acrobatic flight.
