Ford Motor Co. has recalled 1,392,935 F-150 pickup trucks because the transmission can unexpectedly downshift into second gear which could cause the driver to lose control.

Ford is recalling up to 1.39 million F-150 pick-ups over the risk of unexpected downshifting that can lead to a loss of vehicle control.
